Technical Notes

This Tehcnical Notes document summarizes the detection algorithm, report code and prevention
mechanism of false alarm & usage recommendation of Fall Sensor

1. Detection Algorithm

Accelerometery is used in detection of a fall.

A fall is regarded as a real fall alarm if the following conditions are met :

1. The first condition is the detectionof a highly velocity towards to the ground.
2.The second condition is the detection of a sudden impact.
3.If condition 1 and 22 are both met and afterwards no movement is detected over 1 second
and the fall sensor is at an angle of greater than a specific degree, a fall is regarded as a
  real fall alarm.

2. Reporting Code

If a fall is detected, the sensor will transmit an alarm signal to Control Panel. If no sudden
movement within 10 seconds after fall detection, an inactivity code will be sent to notify the
user's inactivity condition

3. Prevention Mechanism of False Alarm & Usage Recommendation

1. If a fall sensor is placed steadily in one position for more than 3 hours, a sleep time-1 minutes
will be activated. During one-minute time, the fall sensor will not be triggered due to put-on
movement. After 1 minute, the fall sensor will be back to normal function.

2.Please note fall-detection accuracy may be not 100%. The fall sensor achieves over 95%
accuracy of real tim all detection.  Users should be aware that inappropriate use of all sensor
may cause a false alarm or lead to non-detected condition.

A.Drastically sit and stand up. It will cause a false alarm.
B.Drastically pu on or take off the fall sensor. It will cause a false alarm.
C.Place a fall sensor outside of a coat.  Please do not cover it with any clothes.  Otherwise,
it will lead to non-detected condition.
D. For over weighted people, suggest adjusting the length of the cord to be longest for highler
detection sensitivity.  The longer the cord, the higher the detection sensitivity.
E. Carefully place the fall sensor on a desk when you are note using it in order to avoir triggering
    an alarm.
